So it is common to think that metal is louder and squeaky. But this is not due to the material. Players who like to play on the very tip of a mouthpiece are more prone to chirps. Players who take more mouthpiece in have less chirps.I dislike the Alto, I have a SX90, and did not care at all for the Soprano's. The 62 can be pretty bright depending on your disposition and the era of the sax. The 82Z is a darker sound than the 62 and blows a lot freer than the SX90. All 3 are good, usable saxes and solid for learning on. For my setup it was the most resonant and responsive. I had always expected the V12s to be even more resistant than the blue box. The V21s were more responsive than the blue box reeds, but articulation was a little mushy.
