The sensor is standing up with the plug on top. You can also look on top of the trans "just behind" where the coil pack ends (towards the firewall), same sensor.The Basics. Piggyback tuners do not replace your ecu they only alter the signal that your ecu receives. They are great for tuning your car after you have made some mods. (ex. i/h/e). Along with your tuner you should buy a wideband o2 sensor setup. (covered in other threads). The sensor is held on by a single M6 (10mm) bolt. Undo the bolt and wiggle the sensor out of the block....easier said than done a lot of the time. In a tib with immobilizer, if you replace your ECU with another one (same date of build, same specs, but different code), the car will not start at all, whatever you try. Starter will turn, but nothing more. Because the code is checked, and if BCM, key and ECU codes don't match, car ... This is also key information. Its best to change the seals every time the timing belt is serviced. The seals can become hard over time, causing the eventual leak, but it isnt the leak that is the biggest concern. Its the groove in the surface of the metal that develops over time the harder the rubber gets..
